We are a local chapter of Firefighters For Christ International (FFC International). FFC International is a tremendous resource that has been serving firefighters, their families, and communities worldwide since June of 1978. John White, a former LA City Fire Captain and Chaplain, is the founder of the organization which started as a prayer group with two firefighters out of LA City Fire Station 3 in 1973.

The FFC-OC Fire Chapter was started in the Fall of 2023 by a group of OCFA firefighters who had a common goal-to meet and share the redemptive message of Christ with all fire departments in Orange County. Our group largely picked up where numerous other past Christian leaders in our department had left off. They paved the road we are now following and we are eternally grateful for their leadership and mentoring.

Our main founding principle is to encourage firefighters to live their lives for Jesus Christ. This comes from Hebrews 10: 24-25 which says, “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much more as you see the Day approaching.”

We encourage everyone to become members of FFC International and our chapter. FFC has numerous resources available to take advantage of: help for marriages and relationships, mental and behavioral health, audio messages, and Emergency Response Teams (ERTs), to name a few.
